Transit Dictionary

Choo choo (n.) :
  • A derogatory term used by rail opponents to refer to trains that operate on high speed rail networks, commuter rail lines, and other types of modern rail transit such as streetcars. Stemming from baby talk for the sound a steam locomotive makes, the term gives its user little credibility.
